Les Grandes locos Quai Pierre-Sémart Rue Gabriel-Péri - 69350 La Mulatière

This electronic and independent music festival in Lyon has revealed its programme of events after several months of anticipation. The festival remained true to its roots when selecting the artists and events for this year. The Nuits Sonores Festival will be held in two one-of-a-kind venues for this unique edition that reinvents the stage and the interaction between artists and the general public.

In the former Fagor-Brandt Factory in Gerland, the Nuits Sonores will be returning to an emblematic festival venue that boasts two different stages in a unique performing arts setting. The main stage is nestled in an amphitheatre and the second, more unconventional stage is in the form of a star with 360° seating offering a totally immersive experience. These stages are perfectly appropriate for the times we're living in: all attendees will be seated (or reclining!), meaning that they can enjoy the performances from a close vantage point. Food stalls and relaxation rooms are available.

But if you're looking for a more adventurous culinary experience, Heat has what you need. This one-of-a-kind temple of street food in Lyon allows you to enjoy the diversity and talent of Lyon's artistic scene while enjoying an exceptional setting in the Heat of the new Confluence neighbourhood. Grab a bite to eat between concerts at this open-air dining area surrounded by tables and food trucks in a relaxed, underground setting.

Artists from Lyon and around the world

The 2021 Programme for Les Nuits Sonores is as eclectic as its stages. Electronic music lovers will recognise several well-known names from the Lyon music scene performing at Heat, including Angel Karel, a DJ popular in the city's clubs, as well as Camille, a young DJ with a Brazilian flair whose earliest performances were at the Sucre club. Sébastien Tellier represented France at Eurovision 2008 and has composed several film scores. And Jeff Mills, a Detroit-based pioneer of techno music, will also perform.

The 2021 edition will take advantage of different partnerships to offer a range of diverse musical and artistic performances that have rarely been seen before! The Nuits Sonores will be part of the We Are Europe joint programming project in partnership with several other European festivals There has never been a better time to discover new artists and performances! And as part of the Africa 2020 Live season, the festival has invited several African artists such as Azu Tiwaline & Cinna Peyghamy, Awori & Twani, and Fulu Mizik. Enjoy the richness and diversity of the continent's rhythms – you might discover some new favourites!

All concerts at Heat are free, but the number of seats is limited, just like the Fagor concerts. Book your spot online at the Nuits Sonores website and learn more about the exciting events planned for the Nuits Sonores Festival 2021.
