After the FIFA Women’s World Cup, women’s sport stays in pride of place in Lyon!
The Open 6ème Sens – Métropole de Lyon, which counts towards the WTA Tour, will set up in Palais des Sports de Gerland for an unprecedented indoor tournament.

It’s the second biggest women’s tournament in France after Roland-Garros. The final will take place on 8 March for International Women’s Day, presenting a strong symbol in the world of women’s sport.

Don’t forget to note the date of this new event!
We will see the best female players in the world go head to head, including Caroline Garcia, 27th in the ranking, who forged her career on Lyon’s tennis courts. She is a true ambassador of the event, and above all, the instigator!
With this new tournament, she wishes to give back to Lyon what she learnt there throughout her formative years.
Now, all that’s left to say is, “Thank you Caroline, good luck!”

Virginie comes from Corsica. "We can't all be born in Lyon…" as they say. But our lovely city is now under her skin (although her beloved island remains firmly anchored in her heart).
