Discover Francheville

Historically the first suburb of the west of Lugdunum, Francheville is today the greenest town in the Metropole, with Roman roads linking the city centre.

Alternating valleys and plateaux, the heritage of the commune is important with in particular the Fort du Bruissin, a former military fort which today hosts many cultural events, the old castle, the relay post office or the Grand Moulin, which has become a centre of initiation to nature.

The large Aquavert Aquatic Centre offers a swimming pool open to the outdoors during the season, tennis and miniature golf.

The Iris, a cultural centre, welcomes cinema on Wednesdays, concerts and shows and has a spacious and modern media library.
