Where to go for a quiet drink away from the crowds in Vieux-Lyon (Old Lyon)? Illustre, located on Place Ennemond Fousseret. This bar is small, almost confidential, but if you manage to get a seat, you are in for a treat.
After taking in the attractive retro floor tiles and Art Deco interior, you can order a glass from the selection of natural and organic wines, and maybe a few of their delicious amuse-gueules. This is a place well worth knowing.
Julie was not born in Lyon, but she did decide to start her family here! Not that long ago, she would spend most of her evenings out at concerts... Although she has already bought ear defenders for her little 19-month-old boy, so that he can discover the joys of live rock and electronic music (soon!), she is now much more of a morning person as a mother.
