Hippodrome de Lyon-Parilly
4-6 avenue Mendès France - 69500 Bron
In the heart of the Parc de Parilly, the Bron racecourse is one of the best grass tracks in France. The racecourse covers 35 hectares, including the tracks, stables, grandstand, committee car park and all the surrounding green spaces.
Since its renovation was completed in 2014, the racecourse now has infrastructure and facilities that are better suited to organising events and providing greater comfort for the public. It has direct access to the A43 motorway and the T2 tram, as well as a large free car park in the Parc Métropolitain.
The Parilly racecourse is located in the Parc Métropolitain, and thanks to the quality of its tracks, it offers a major multi-disciplinary programme each season, organising almost 150 trotting races, 160 flat races and 50 obstacle races, including 6 cross-country races, which are always spectacular events and very popular with spectators. Some of the races even enable up-and-coming champions to prepare for more prestigious events in Paris and abroad.
Several times a year, the racecourse welcomes a wide public by creating themed days, such as the Grande Nocturne, the Défi du Galop and Hippodrome en Fête.
Since 2014, the Parilly racecourse has had renovated grandstands, with a 150-cover panoramic restaurant and various lounges at the top.
The racing season is divided into two meetings: from March to June, and from September to December. The covered grandstands have a capacity of 3,000.
In 2023, Lyon's racecourses were awarded the EquuRES Progression label, enhancing their investment in sustainable development and animal welfare. The EquuRES label corresponds to level 2 of the Environmental Farm Certification (CEEA), also known as HVE 2, and is currently the only environmental quality initiative in the equine sector recognised by the French Ministry of Agriculture.
