Since 2003, the Movember movement has supported more than a thousand men’s health projects around the world; tackling male cancers, mental health issues and suicide. In addition to making a financial contribution (by making a donation via  fr.movember.com), men can proudly sport a moustache, the trademark symbol of the cause.
Whether it’s a walrus, pencil, Dali, English, handlebar, chevron, or Fu Manchu; thin, thick, full, or sparse; there is a moustache style for everyone.

However, modern men often don’t have enough time, patience and, above all, know-how to create a moustache that is worthy of the name. What better way could there be to show support for the cause than entrusting your facial hair to the specialists?

L'Atelier masculin

Fortunately, l’Atelier masculin has opened a salon in the heart of the 6th arrondissement and, today, this is the only beauty salon just for men. The barbers will attend to your beard with cutthroat razors that are sharpened to perfection. Make this the opportunity to enjoy a scalp massage as well. How about a facial? Why not be tempted by a foot or back massage too? And a wax won’t do you any harm (and you’ll be able to understand the pain that women go through!).

L’atelier masculin : 103, rue Vendôme (Lyon 6e).

La Fabrique

With a more rock’n’roll but equally effective style – decorated with skulls, Native American headdresses and knives – la Fabrique is a great well-being location for men. Professional barbers take care of your scalp, as well as your sea captain’s beard.
Between treatments, happy customers can lounge in an armchair and browse through a motorbike book, or join in a frenzied game of table football with fellow customers.
The great advantages of this salon are that dads can bring their kids and that a tattoo artist regularly visits to “ink” the boldest customers.

La Fabrique Barbier Coiffeur : 13 rue de la Charité (Lyon 2e).
Tel. +33(0)4 37 57 33 57.
Open on Monday from 2 pm to 7 pm.
From Tuesday to Friday, 10 am to 8 pm and Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm.

L'Atelier Vintage

Not so comfortable in that biker atmosphere?
Then head for l’Atelier Vintage and its cosy decor (completely furnished with bric-a-brac and retro items). Here, you really feel pampered… Relaxing music, facials, soft lighting (too soft when people are using cutthroat razors on wayward hairs), scented candles and waxing, which doesn’t hurt (too much!). We love it.  Now you look great and that’s good for the cause.

L’Atelier Vintage : 21 rue de la Part-Dieu (Lyon 3e). Reservation at +33(0)4 78 62 75 29. Open from Tuesday to Friday,  9 am to 7 pm. Saturday, 8:30 am to 6:30 pm

Antoine

This is Antoine. The only moustache in the office. The fact that he has managed to find a niche in a team exclusively made up of women is proof that he has been good at cultivating the better side of his nature. By that we mean his feminine side…
