Maison Pépin is all about homemade flavours and a passion for good food. These Lyon-based artisans create each sweet treat with love, respect for the ingredients and local expertise. Try the famous praline tart, winner of the 2022 Praline d'Or award.
The Pépin patisserie is above all a love story between Nicolas and Laure Pépin and the world of sweet treats.
Nicolas, originally from the Loire region, trained with Gérard Nil in Le Coteau. Laure, from Lyon, learned her trade at Perroudon. Their meeting gave rise to a duo as close-knit as they are creative.
In 2007, they took over a patisserie and chocolate shop in Lyon and infused it with their personal touch: colourful creations, refined chocolates and special attention for every sweet tooth, even sugar-free bars. Their success led them to open a second shop in Confluence in 2013.
Always inspired, Nicolas created La Flamme du 8, a tribute to Lyon, the city of lights: a crunchy praline, a roasted hazelnut and a melt-in-the-mouth shortbread covered in chocolate.
In 2022, Nicolas Pépin was awarded the Praline d'Or title for his praline tart: a delicate, perfectly baked, crunchy crust filled with a generous amount of pink pralines, all entirely homemade.
Recognised for his talent and commitment, Nicolas Pépin became a Master Craftsman in 2019, then received the Medal of Craftsmanship Recognition in 2025. A fine reward for a passionate and generous craftsman.
Maison Pépin is above all a local, deeply human craft business, where each creation is made with passion, respect for the product and love for the craft.
