Mini-monstres, the invisibles
From the 26th of June to the 3th of May 2020, the Musée des Confluences will be presenting a new exhibition on the thousands of insects and bacteria...
On Thursday 19 December 2019, the museum is inviting visitors to celebrate its birthday against a musical backdrop, and get “up close and personal with the exhibits and displays”!
Just how did we manage without this museum for so long? Because we really can’t get enough of this unique and fascinating venue, exploring science and mankind, combining different points of view, fields of knowledge, and ways of approaching this knowledge.
The museum takes visitors on a journey, transporting them back in time… to reflect, understand more, reconsider, and learn a lot. The Musée des Confluences has something for everyone. It’s fun, and beautifully-designed: a perfect example of a contemporary museum, inspiring visitors to learn more without them ever realising exactly what’s going on.

To celebrate the event, the museum is inviting visitors to rediscover To celebrate the event, the museum is inviting visitors to rediscover, or on their own. The icing on the (birthday!) cake? It’ll be inaugurating its new exhibition by Swiss artists "Plonk et Replonk" !
At the start of the evening, explore the museum’s exhibitions and spaces, to the sound of musicians from the world over, transporting you with their music!
Then at 8 p.m., once their concerts are over, they’ll head down to the museum lobby for a jam session plus a memorable birthday cake!
It’s free and there’ll be plenty for everyone!
