In 2006, three MJCs (youth and community centres) from the city of Lyon joined forces to create a new way of bringing French singers together, whilst encouraging amateur singing. Twelve years later, the Les Chants de Mars festival is now unmissable in terms of the amazing new talent that has recently emerged.
Held in 12 venues across the city, the programme of 17 concerts is outstanding. It includes, no less, the fascinating Juliette Armanet (recently winner of a Victoire de la Musique award, justly deserved), the captivating Eddy de Preto and rock sensations The Liminanas. Not forgetting newcomers Tim Dup, Chaton and Foé, among others. What about artists from Lyon (as we know you're slightly biased)? Queen of the stage Amélie-les-Crayons will be there, as well as Sarah Mikovski. Music to the ears for everyone.
