"Le goût en partage" (Sharing Taste)
On the 15 and 16 September 2018, doors in Lyon and the surrounding area will be opened to welcome food lovers!
This is one of the major annual events, like the Fête de la Musique (World Music Day), eagerly awaited by millions of visitors throughout Europe! It’s a superb cultural weekend when museums, monuments and historical attractions that are sometimes closed, or even hidden away, the rest of the year, open their doors to welcome visitors!
This year’s theme should prove popular with many people: ‘Le goût en partage’ (Sharing Taste)! Admittedly, Lyon might be taking a few liberties in its manner of interpreting the national theme – ‘l’Art du partage’ (The Art of Sharing) – but, seriously, what could be a more beautiful way of sharing than gastronomy?
This theme is close to the heart of Lyon, which has dug deep to come up with various activities based on the ‘ninth art’ to celebrate the occasion. There will be conferences, gourmet tours and other culinary experiences, providing ample proof that life in Lyon is rather pleasant (and has been since Antiquity!)
