The art of gesture and disruption in art
The Maison de la Danse is bringing us a rich and varied season, mixing together creation, urban dance, circus arts and more with works from the repertoire.
The special programme ‘Archipel Postmodern’ will pay homage to the American post-modern dance repertoire.
This avant-garde movement, which began in the 1960s, saw the emergence of some of the twentieth century’s most prominent choreographers, such as Trisha Brown and Merce Cunningham.
The Maison de la Danse will be presenting several major pieces by these two choreographers in collaboration with the Lyon Opera Ballet.

> Newark, Foray Forêt and Set and Rest/Reset by Trisha Brown, to be seen from the 24th to the 26th of January 2019 at the Maison de la Danse.

Isabelle, our editor born and bred in Lyon! She was born in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon in fact, studied in Lyon and now lives here. Territorial? Absolutely not! She loves travelling, widening her horizons, meeting new people and enjoys a change of scenery (without snow, if possible). Isabelle is curious and a people person, two attributes that often go hand in hand! Her favourite colour is green and her motto "a day without laughter is a day wasted!"
