This ambitious 25th edition boasts a huge programme. In particular, there is the film that opens the festival, The Keeper by Marcus H. Rosenmüller, a biopic devoted to footballer Bert Trautmann. The festival will close with another biopic – Judy – about Judy Garland.

There will also be some outstanding previews: Vivarium by Lorcan Finnegan, a thriller with elements of science fiction, featuring two superb actors: Imogen Poots and Jesse Eisenberg.

The festival will be commemorating the 4th anniversary of the death of legend David Bowie with a special evening devoted to him.

B is for Bowie

Audiences will get a chance to see Bowie in an acting role, in particular in Nagashi Oshima’s Furyo, a disturbing war film, and The Hunger, alongside Catherine Deneuve, directed by Tony Scott.
Then there is Nicolas Roeg’s The Man Who Fell to Earth and Don't Look Now
Bowie will also be shown in his role as a rock star, with the screening of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, a film of his incredible 1973 concert.

During this magnificent edition of Ciné O’Clock, you can also discover or rediscover Stephen Frears’ cult film High Fidelity, the impressive Bloody Sunday, which brought Paul Greengrass to the public's attention, and Joseph Losey’s very gothic The Servant. There are simply too many great films to mention them all.

There will also be many events running alongside the festival throughout the city, but mainly concentrated at the cinema Le Zola.
