The Woodstower Festival has the tough job of bringing the summer holidays to a close and it has been doing so for 21 years. Come and join us on the weekend of 30th August 2019.
For its 20th edition last year, the contemporary music festival held in the Grand Parc de Miribel Jonage threw a magnificent party and 33,000 people came to celebrate.
The 2019 edition is likely to be even better. Everything begins on Thursday 29th August with a warm-up gig where the talented French rapper Nekfeu will be sharing the stage with one of the pioneers of French dance music, Etienne de Crécy. This should get everyone in the mood and set the tone for a festival that promotes the intermeshing of musical cultures - urban, world, techno and electric.
Woodstower has always been a broad and happy mix. Just look at the programme for Friday 30th August, when Amadou & Mariam, Dave Clarke, Yuksek and Synapson (to mention a few) will be taking to the stage for an unforgettable evening in an unbelievable natural setting.
The next day, the rap scene will be creating a buzz: the Belgians Caballero and Jean Jass will be sharing the mike with Alpha Wann, Youssoupha and Prince Waly while the rock sounds of Vandal, Canine and Grand Blanc will stir the crowd.
To recover from these two crazy evenings, Sunday is looking “cool” with a range of roving shows, entertainment and other amazing concerts.
Congratulations Woodstower, for 21 years you have been making us forget that we have go to back to school, college or work tomorrow.
