Fête de la Musique 2019

Fête de la Musique (Music Day) celebrates the arrival of summer (with music of course!) and marks the beginning of fun in the sun! For an evening (and sometimes all night), the streets are filled with music and a warm, friendly atmosphere, while friends and families gather for drinks on the terraces and in the parks!

In Lyon, music can be heard everywhere you go, with forty sounded stages located in neighbourhoods throughout the city. Enjoy the varied range of music on offer in a fun, friendly atmosphere, including batucada and percussion ensembles, urban and electronic music, choirs, orchestras, rock and fusion. Music is everywhere, with something for all tastes!

Highlights of the 2019 edition:

From noon to 7 pm, there will be a special afternoon at Centre Nautique Tony Bertrand with a live set and DJ.

Students from the Conservatoire Régional will be putting on a special concert at the Odéon des Nuits de Fourvière (tickets are free, subject to availability).

At the Grand-Hôtel-Dieu, Cour Saint-Martin will be bopping to pop, Cour du Cloître will be dedicated to blues and jazz, while Cour Saint-Hubert will be welcoming two symphony orchestras and paying tribute to Beethoven at 8:30 pm.

Boulevard Electro & Indie is returning with an original format and seven themed stages (house, techno, drum’n’bass, emerging acts, Lyonnais hip-hop, reggae soundsystems and black music), dedicated to electronic and contemporary music. There will also be a chill-out area and food village!
