An eclectic brew
On the 27th and 28th of April 2019, beer lovers will flock to La Sucrière for the Lyon Bière Festival.
In the space of three editions, the Lyon Bière Festival has established itself as an essential gathering for budding zythologists and beer connoisseurs in France and Europe. They are all united by their shared love for this holy beverage.
What has made it such a success? You need look no further than the high standards of taste of the organisers, who invite no less than 120 breweries to the festival (including a superb delegation of Eastern Europe specialists, from the Czech Republic, Romania, Poland and Slovenia), as well as a handful of cider makers, because they are willing to admit there may be more to life than beer alone.
There are also plenty of things to do besides tasting, with masterclasses and other courses to learn brewing basics, workshops on food and beer pairings, and a whole range of other activities related to this age-old drink.
This fourth edition of Lyon Beer Festival should be enough to win over even the most stubborn sceptics, while satisfying beer lovers and enlightening novices. One not to be missed.
Admission charge: €6.5 (for pre-orders) / €8 (at the entrance).
