Cité Scolaire Internationale
2 place de Montréal - 69007 Lyon 7ème
On Sunday 19 January 2020, this great athletic challenge will be held for the 40th time. Water below 10°C. Flippers. Sport. Exhilaration.
The last Cross-Lyon Swim saw 310 participants dive into freezing cold water (below 10°C). A bunch of lunatics? No. Well almost. But they are true athletes.
Participants should assemble at 8 am outside the Cité Scolaire Internationale (2 place de Montréal Lyon 7e). At 9.30 am, a bus will take the cheerful and intrepid band of participants to the start: the Cité Internationale (in the city's 6th arrondissement).
The starting gun will be fired at 10 am. The race is scheduled to finish at around 11.30 am below the Raymond Barre Bridge, where swimmers will be served a well-deserved meal.
The race is organised by the Thalassa Lyon Plongée club and is open to all, whether licensed members of a club or not (the latter can request an Open Pass licence).
The Cross-Lyon Swim supports the Palmer pour elles charity.
