A 20/20 grade

Get ready - the festival’s 18th edition will be in town from 19 to 24 May 2020. As for the line-up, we’re in heaven.

Night-time

The festival’s nights of independent music look to be very techno and especially explosive.

It all starts with a bang on Thursday 21 May, with DJ Daniel Avery who will share the stage with Roman Flügel. It promises to be a particularly hypnotic experience…
Live music is not on a break, with the mesmerising singer Jessy Lanza, the magic of Caribou and the queer rap of American Mykki Blanco

On Friday 22 May, crowds will no doubt be flocking for international techno star Nina Kraviz, but you can also count on Ivan Smagghe, Manfredas and Crystalmess to know what they’re doing on the turntables.

As for the Saturday 23 May session, it promises to be more mixed than ever. Because, apart from the event featuring Squarepusher (one of the founding fathers of clever electronic music), soul will be on show. The huge Leroy Burgess & Saving Coco will come and serve up an extra groovy helping of North American goodness for our starving ears. All of this madness will unfold at the Anciennes Usines Fagor-Brandt in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon.

Day-time

Beyond the night-time, the ‘Nusso’ (for the diehards) day-time programme is packed full too.

On Wednesday 20, Thursday 21, Friday 22 and Saturday 23 May, four big names in electronic music will become impromptu festival curators and invite their dearest friends to share the turntables and speakers. It’s sure to be a good time.
Especially when you find out that these people are, in order of appearance, founding father Jeff Mills, kooky uncle DJ Harvey, and mums Helena Hauff and Honey Dijon.
