The Fourvière Nights 2018

This is a yearly event that the inhabitants of Lyon are particularly fond of: they love the magic locations of the Roman theatre and Odeon, the unique, friendly and even fervent atmosphere… and of course the programme! In all disciplines, be it songs, rock, theatre, dance, and circus, you'll get to see the bill toppers and rising stars of the French or international scene.

The highlights in 2018

With regard to Pop and Rock, we're looking forward to LCD Soundsystem (their only gig in France!), Phoenix, Texas, Massive Attack, MGMT, Her, Ben Howard, Jack White, pop music with Jain, Belle and Sebastian, and the Arctic Monkeys – no less!

As for Jazz and World Music, you'll be spoilt for choice again! Fatoumata Diawara, Raphaël Imbert, Caetano, Moreno, Zeca and Tom Veloso, Seu Jorge, Fellag, Cheik Sidi Bemol and André Minville...

Singers will be equally well represented with, among others: Julien Doré, Juliette Armanet, a comeback for Marquis de Sade, Dick Annegarn, Julien Clerc, BigFlo & Oli, Etienne Daho, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Jane Birkin singing songs written by… Serge Gainsbourg, Benjamin Biolay (paying homage to Hubert Mounier, who is from Lyon and a member of L’Affaire Louis' Trio), Gaël Faye and Bernard Lavilliers, and MC Solaar and IAM in symphonic version.

If you enjoy the circus and dancing, the quality we have in store for you is equalled only in variety! Folia will be combining the hip-hop of Mourad Merzouki with the baroque music of the Concert de l’Hostel-Dieu, followed by Acosta Danza, a Flamenco theme with Maria Pagés (for the very first time in France), Circa and its Australian acrobats with the Orchestre National de Lyon, and the Ukrainian cabaret-circus Terabak de Kyiv.And finally, we're also expecting the Orchestra di Piazza Vittorio who will be performing Dom Giovanni, broadcast live from the Opera on a giant screen. And it's free within the scope of the Tout l'Monde Dehors event! (but don't forget to book beforehand)

The programme includes several night-time events: "Jazz" night with the Hot Club de Lyon, "Tony Gatlif" night, "Reggae and Caribbean music" night, "Ethiopics" night, "Middle Eastern" night, and "Quebec" night to end the programme in style!

Caution: some shows will be held in different locations

The Patin Libre dance on ice will be held at the Charlemagne ice rink.And of course, the big top will yet again be erected in the Domaine de Lacroix-Laval to host the shows put on by the Aïtal Circus.

To book, please pay a visit to the ONLYLYON pavilion in Place Bellecour.

The ticket office will be open from the 17th of March to the 31st of May, from Monday to Saturday, from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm.
And from the 1st of June to the 28th of July, every day from 9 am to 6 pm.

To get to the Roman theatres, opt for public transport: the funicular railway to the theatres is free when you show your ticket, and shuttles will be organised for the return journey.

Shows are rarely cancelled when it rains, but you won't know until the last minute. So be sure to stay informed.
