Keep the fun going!

We’re willing to bet that you’ve had a little bit more chocolate and other Easter treats than you should have! And now you feel like going out…

Do not fret, not everything is closed on Easter Monday! Here are a few suggestions to have an excellent day out!

Do you feel like visiting and discovering new things?

Whether it’s Old Lyon, Croix-Rousse or the Beaujolais region, on foot or by bike, Segway, rickshaw, coach or boat, you only need one address: www.visiterlyon.com.

With just a few clicks, select the date, make your choice, book and Bob’s your uncle! Your day is planned! Don’t hang about too long.

Try an original way to see Lyon: download the Wildgaming app on your smartphone for free and set off on an adventure. You’re sure to get into the game!

There’s no shortage of museums to visit!

Children - Musée des Confluences

You can head to the Musée des Confluences (by vaporetto !), the Musée Lumière et the Musée Cinéma et Miniature and, as if that wasn’t enough, there’s also le Petit musée de Guignol with its puppets, the Musée des automates (Automatons museum), and the Atelier de Soierie Saint-Georges to learn about silk weaving in Old Lyon. Alternatively, you can set off to explore the galaxy at the Planetarium or take a stroll through Mini World Lyon, , to discover a fascinating new world of miniatures!

Perhaps you’d rather get some fresh air with a walk outdoors? No problem: all of Lyon’s parks will be open.

Are you itching to burn off all those extra calories?

If it’s rainy, go for the indoor option with Megazone, or if the sun is out, you can choose between a round of minigolf at the Parc de la Tête d’or or an adventure park with City Aventure or Vanciaventure.

Alternatively, if you’d prefer a relaxing dip, head to  Calicéo in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon.

Going out: if you haven’t tried the lundis de la salsa (Salsa Mondays), at Ninkasi Gerland, now is the time! DJ Carlos will be manning the decks, followed by a Blind Test Challenge. Or maybe you fancy a show? Verdi’s Don Carlos is being performed at the Lyon Opera House.

There’s more than one way to pleasantly occupy the last day of the first long weekend of spring.

Isabelle

Isabelle, our editor born and bred in Lyon! She was born in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon in fact, studied in Lyon and now lives here. Territorial? Absolutely not! She loves travelling, widening her horizons, meeting new people and enjoys a change of scenery (without snow, if possible). Isabelle is curious and a people person, two attributes that often go hand in hand! Her favourite colour is green and her motto "a day without laughter is a day wasted!"
