From the 9th of November 2019 to the 8th of March 2020, at the Musée des Tissus (Textile Museum), enjoy a unique exhibition on a major couturier of the 20th century.
The exhibitions of fashion designers at the Musée des Tissus (Textile Museum) are always a big event for lovers of fashion, beautiful materials and creation.
After Mariano Fortuny (1980), Cristóbal Balenciaga (1985), Jeanne Paquin (1989), Madeleine Vionnet (1994), Olivier Lapidus (1997), Léonard (2006) and Franck Sorbier (2009), Yves Saint Laurent!
Yves Saint Laurent was one of the world’s most famous French fashion designers.
The exhibition highlights the strong ties between Yves Saint Laurent and his suppliers (mainly of silk) in Lyon: Bianchini-Férier, Bouton Renaud, Brochier, Hurel et Sfate & Combier, Bucol, Abraham and Beaux-Valette.
Produced in cooperation with the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris, the exhibition Yves Saint Laurent promises to be a visually stunning experience, featuring beautiful fabrics, both colourful and black, and bold shapes, both masculine and feminine, while revealing what happened behind the scenes.
Enjoy this inspiring experience.
The admission to theTextile Museum and its exhibition is included in the Lyon City Card.
Isabelle, our editor born and bred in Lyon! She was born in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon in fact, studied in Lyon and now lives here. Territorial? Absolutely not! She loves travelling, widening her horizons, meeting new people and enjoys a change of scenery (without snow, if possible). Isabelle is curious and a people person, two attributes that often go hand in hand! Her favourite colour is green and her motto "a day without laughter is a day wasted!"
