Discover Bron

Bron is a town that people tend to pass through, but it’s worth stopping to explore it! Just a short walk from its busy roads, you can find exceptional and original experiences. From taking the controls of a plane to visiting the prison from the French film Kaamelott, watching a horse race or getting lost in the gardens of the Le Vinatier hospital, here is our overview of the many things to see and do in Bron.

A "research centre" with numerous research centres, hospitals and the University of Lyon 2, Bron has a strong economic activity, linked in particular to the history of aviation. Bron airport, which is a hundred years old and still a major business airport, is part of the city's heritage. As is the Fort of Bron, built in 1872, now a history museum, a captivating stopover during your visit. 

Nature lovers will discover numerous areas for walking and doing sports in the countryside: the Parc de Parilly and the Bois des Essarts in its continuity are the green lungs of the town.  Lovers of the equestrian world will appreciate the Hippodrome de Parilly on the occasion of a race, or just out of curiosity.

Bron is particularly interested in its cultural facilities, such as the Les Alizés cinema, the Espace Albert Camus, the Maison des Arts and the Ferme du Vinatier. Don't miss the Book Festival or the unmissable Karavel hip-hop dance festival.

Finally, gourmets will enjoy the fresh products of the various markets, in particular the organic market which is held every Wednesday and Sunday.
