Le Lavoir Public
Experimental theatre, far-out exhibitions, awesome electronic music parties, friendly pop culture, and a totally unique space: since 2012, Le Lavoir has been among Lyon’s wildest and most welcoming venues in all categories. This is a place with an open, unblinkered outlook, which also happens to apply a very reasonable pricing policy.

Garçon Sauvage
Keep an eye on these evening events. Regularly held at Le Sucre (on the rooftop of La Sucrière), as well as Le Transbordeur, Garçon Sauvage is a creation of the collective Plus Belle la Nuit. With a superb (and often very funny) musical selection, these evenings are a joyous ode to queer culture.

XS Bar
It's not the size that counts... Since 2010, XS Bar has been one of Lyon’s coolest gay bars, thanks to the magnetic personality of the owner, its terrace for sunny days, its hilariously themed evening events and its generous opening hours (open every day of the week).

Le L Bar
Devilishly good cocktails, a super nice owner, excellent music, a warm and friendly atmosphere, and even tasty aperitifs: Lyon’s only lesbian bar is the place to go for anyone simply looking to have a great evening.

Blitz
This shop-cum-gallery deserves special mention. Located a short walk from Place Sathonay, Blitz is a treasure trove of objects, ranging from interior décor to stationery, books and crockery, all selected with great taste. The first floor regularly hosts gently deviant exhibitions, while the basement is home to super stylish furniture.
