'Fabriqué à Lyon' (made in Lyon) quality Label

To promote local know-how, the City of Lyon created the ‘Fabriqué à Lyon’ (Made in Lyon) quality label, aimed at offering a guarantee of authenticity to consumers by certifying products that are created, produced or transformed within the territory of Lyon.

In order to be 'Fabriqué à Lyon'-certified, products must meet quality criteria in terms of know-how, local production and the origin of raw materials. The City of Lyon would also like these criteria to be accompanied by an environmental and social responsibility approach.

Four product categories have been defined: fashion and design, manufactured products, artisanal food and decorative items, design and craftwork.

There are currently more than 100 certified products in Lyon.

Discover our gourmet specialities

It would be a shame to not try our culinary specialities – they are an essential part of the Lyon experience! Here are a few locations that offer delicacies that can only be found in Lyon!

Would you like to taste wine made in Lyon ? Opening the very first urban winery was the crazy dream of Franck and Grégoire Saint Olive. Last September, they moved their stainless-steel vats and barrels into the heart of Lyon’s 6th district in order to produce their wine in an urban setting. The first four cuvées have been released: four single-varietal wines named Cuvée 480, in reference to the river Saône’s length in kilometres.

This time, we head outside of Lyon for a great reason! the Maison Duculty, a family-run business from the neighbouring Loire department makes charcuterie using ancestral and artisanal methods. Indulge in some of the best charcuterie and products from the Lyon region: Jesus de Lyon sausage, rosette sausage, etc.

And if you are more of a chocolate lover, don’t forget to bring back some famous coussins de Lyon desserts from the renowned chocolatiers, Voisin!
