Created in a former bakery, Le Rideau Rouge opened in January 2008 on the plateau in the Croix-Rousse area. As the younger brother of the Boui Boui Café Comique, it has breathed new life into the cult play "Arrête de pleurer Pénélope" (Stop crying Penelope) and welcomes such leading comedians as Florence Foresti, Stéphane Rousseau, François-Xavier Demaison, Titoff, etc. and plays such as the "Les monologues du vagin" (Vagina Monologues). Including "Le Café des Artistes", an attractive bar, a terrace that remains open throughout the Summer and a large theatre that seats 120 people, this highly colourful location welcomes you from Monday to Saturday for ever more fun and laughter!
