Théâtre Nouvelle Génération - TNG
23 rue de Bourgogne - 69009 Lyon 9ème
The new artistic project of Théâtre Nouvelle Génération (the Lyon National Centre of Dramatic Art) has joined the TNG with the Théâtre Les Ateliers. The programme includes imaginative theatre, open to stage innovations.
In January 2015, Joris Mathieu took over from Nino D’Introna as manager of the Lyon National Centre of Dramatic Art. He has built a programme that is open to new forms of theatrical writing and aimed at all audience age groups. The theatre now welcomes audiences at two locations: Les Ateliers in Lyon's 2nd district and the TNG in the 9th district.
The artistic programme – now shown at two locations – includes imaginative theatre, open to stage innovations, which explores and crosses the boundaries with other art forms.
The plays shown on all four stages can be enjoyed as a family. They combine the enjoyment of being together with the feeling that each piece has been made just for you.
Two biennial events succeed the festival Ré-génération:
Starting in November 2015, the festival of immersive arts, Micro Mondes, plunges spectators into atypical, surprising and sensorial worlds.
In November 2016, the first edition of No(s) Futurs will bring together works on stage that look at the world of the future, with a focus on positive utopias.
