ALMA is a small haven of sweetness and delicacies where you can buy sourdough bread and pastries in the morning with a good coffee to go, enjoy a savory snack at lunchtime, and indulge in one of the Chef's sweet creations at any time of day.
Marvin Brandao is a chef passionate about his craft, from his discovery of pastry in the family restaurant to the demands of luxury hotels.
It all began in childhood with his discovery of pastry in the family restaurant located in Beaujolais. This world, tinged with the aromas from the kitchens and the delicacies of desserts, led Marvin Brandao, at the age of 15, to complete his pastry apprenticeship with Joël Noyerie, a Meilleur Ouvrier de France (Best Craftsman of France). This experience would lead to the birth of a true passion.
He then perfected his technique in several establishments such as Sève in Lyon, Georges Blanc in Vonnas, and the Beau-Rivage Palace with Anne-Sophie Pic.
Since Alma's opening in October 2022, the chef has been awarded Pastry Chef of the Year at the Gastronomy and Wine Awards ceremony held in Lyon in October 2023. This ceremony aimed to highlight the year's top talents.
On April 1, 2024, Flan ALMA won the award for Best Flan in Lyon in the professional flan category.
