Since its beginnings as a cobbler's in 1936, the company has achieved a level that lies somewhere between artisanry and art.

Hagop Baltayan arrived in France following the Armenian Genocide of 1915. Self-taught, he created a range of extremely comfortable cycling shoes.

Jean Baltayan, who trained as a shoemaker, took up the reins in 1966, during the rise of ready-to-wear. He wisely chose to continue the shoe repair business, increasing the quality of his services. He created innovative techniques combining shoemaking and shoe repair.

Jean-Christophe Baltayan and the creation of a world of footwear. Awarded the title 'Best Shoemaker in France' in 1999, he filed various patents and techniques, offered excellent materials with 100% vegetable-tanned leather, and diversified with unique care products awarded for their quality.

From repairing shoes to fine shoemaking: the shoes are made using first class techniques and materials, in accordance with standards that have lasted for centuries, in order to achieve superb comfort. You don't necessarily need to have tailored shoes for a comfortable fit. The comfort that his grandfather's business was built on remains the challenge today. This is reflected in the assembly: Hypoallergenic sock lining, Alcantara© lining, heel height and instep. A card guarantees the soles for life and a secret formula, one of the components of which is gold, covers their entire surface.
