The Magic of a popular baroque Neapolitan Christman
In Baroque Naples, Christmas is a time of intense musical festivities. Traditional carols, tarantellas and lyrically inspired arias blend together in a surprising artistic syncretism.
A highlight of the religious calendar, it's also an opportunity for Neapolitans to express a certain paganism with a particular sense of theatricality. This taste for the staging of Christmas stories, for the mystery of the nativity and for lyrical art fused and expressed both adoration for Jesus and the irrepressible desire to dance and celebrate.
With a program of Baroque arias and concertos, popular noëls and tarantelles, we invite you to share in this musical fervor for an exceptional evening.
